Approachable and Caring
Your INDEPENDENT Member for McIntyre in the Legislative Council of the Tasmanian Parliament
The Hon. Tania Rattray MLC was elected in 2004 to the Legislative Council as an independent Member representing the former electorate of Apsley (now McIntyre).
Before her election to Parliament, she served in local government as Deputy Mayor of Dorset.
The electorate of McIntyre spans six local government areas and is nearly double in size to Apsley. Tania has worked tirelessly to build relationships and support the communities in her new areas without losing focus on the original communities that she has faithfully represented for the past 19 years.
Vision, Issues & Values
As your Independent Member for McIntyre representing this area I am around the electorate getting to know you and what is important to you and the community.
During my time as an elected member I have at every available opportunity supported our communities by attending events and raising matters of importance to the electorate including:
• retaining essential services;
• road maintenance funding;
• water development;
• tourism and business opportunities;
– whilst assisting individuals and organisations to achieve desired results.
I commit to continuing to work hard to ensure the privilege of being your representative as a strong and experienced voice who will deliver positive outcomes for McIntyre.
As your Independent Member I am motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about representing all electors of McIntyre.
